- State Disability Insurance (SDI) - SDI is a wage continuation program for State employees in SEIU-represented Bargaining Units 1, 3, 4, 11, 14, 15, 17, 20, and 21, who are required to be absent from work due to a nonwork-related illness or injury. SDI is an employee paid benefit, and payments are issued by the Employment Development Department (EDD).
For further information regarding the SDI process and forms that must be completed, please reference the SDI section of the Personnel Operations Manual (POM). The POM includes the Employee Options Checklist to select a leave option.

- Leave benefits - Annual Leave, Sick, Vacation, Industrial Disability Leave, Non-Industrial Disability Leave, Bereavement, Jury Duty, Family Medical Leave, and Leave of Absence
- Open Enrollment - Open enrollment is September 1, 2006, through September 29, 2006. During Open Enrollment, eligible employees may enroll, change plans, cancel and add/delete dependents to/from their benefit coverage. The effective date of all Open Enrollment transactions will be January 1, 2007.
